Info of the band:
Jaakko Laitinen & Väärä Raha was started 2009 by five Laplanders living in Helsinki. In our music we mix together influences of Finnish tango, Balkan Roma grooves, Russian romances and lots of other stuff. We are five guys and our instruments are trumpet, bouzouki, accordion, contrabass and drums. My singing has been mentioned to be the missing link between Saban Bajramovic and Frank Sinatra(*.
We have released four critically acclaimed albums, but most of all we are known as a wild live band. We have played in small villlage fairs and big festival stages, school concerts and smoky punk pubs. We play approximately 70 gigs per year, mostly in Finland, but we have visited 20 countries so far.
